Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. We unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known. YWAM’s many ministries fit into three main categories: evangelism, training, and mercy ministry. Through these ministries, we desire to see God’s transformation in every sphere of society.
who we are
YWAM Biarritz is a community centered around the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. An international and interdenominational group of Christians called by God to be a family that will bring the Gospel of the Kingdom and its transforming power to individuals, families, communities, cities and nations. We have a God-given focus on Biarritz, France, Europe, North Africa, West Africa and the Middle East.
ywam is three fold
Through our training programs we aim to better equip Christians to grow in their relationship with God and to serve others in everything. We offer the Discipleship Training School (DTS), which is the introductory course to YWAM. It is an intensive six months of growing more like Jesus and serving Him in the world.
If you believe it, you have to live it, we follow Jesus’ example of compassion to those in need. We serve in areas such as Community Development, Women & Children Needs, & Health Care and wanting to expand in this area. The goal is to ease suffering and provide hope for those affected by poverty, disease or injustice.
Christ’s love inspires us to use many creative means to make His gospel understood to any audience. We use tools such as music, art, & sports to connect with people of all ages and develop friendships which can lead to conversations of eternal value. We believe everyone has the right to hear the good news about Jesus and our hope is to see fellowships of believers worshipping and following Jesus in every nation, tribe and tongue.
Biarritz is located on the edge of the ocean and at the foot of the mountains. From January to December our city is hustling and bustling with festivals, concerts, fireworks, ballets, and sporting events. Known as Europe’s surfing capital, Biarritz also lies at the meeting place of three cultures, and presents a blend of the art of French living, the strikingly unique Basque culture and our neighbouring Spanish influence.
“I love this base and the community and I know God has brought me to a place where I can grow the most with Him.”
